The golden autumn could not start more beautiful. Lina Trepte is the new and thus 24th Dresdner Stollenmädchen! For her and the Schutzverband Dresdner Stollen e. V., it is a premiere, since it's the first time the young representative comes from a member company in the Saxon Elbland. Lina is learning the profession of bakery specialist in the Radebeul based pastry shop Trepte. In front of the magnificent scenery of Wackerbarth Castle, the 18-year-old was welcomed into her new office by many cheering stollen bakers and with splendid weather.
Since 1995, the bakeries and pastry shops of the Schutzverband Dresdner Stollen e. V. annually suggest a trainee from their ranks with the task to represent Dresden's traditional pastry all over the world. Candidate bakers, pastry chefs or sales assistants all study at the Vocational School Center for Agriculture and Nutrition, Dresden. Particularly important for the decision of the Schutzverband are passion for craftsmanship, good grades and baking expertise.
An exciting time lies ahead for Lina: For the duration of one year she is in the spotlight for traditional Saxon pastry. Around 50 events are already filling the Stollenmädchen calendar. The highlight is undoubtedly the Dresden Stollenfest. "But I'm also looking forward to the Public Stollen Examination on November 9, when the Dresdner Stollen of our member companies will be tested in the Altmarkt Gallery in Dresden. And on the assembly of the giant Stollen shortly before the Stollenfest – I'm curious to participate and i'm hoping that Stollen chefs let me piled on the jubilee Stollen, "said Lina Trepte.
